IT'S been an eventful October for Pam and me. As you know from the last blog entry we were in North East, Maryland to visit our daughter. Since we have been back we have been busy. I was fortunate in being able to go to Spain for 6 days for a golfing holiday with Jennette's husband, Stuart. 

 

 

 

 

My golf is not up to much but as you can see from the photo, I enjoy practising at the 19th hole. While we were away, Jennette had a brilliant? Idea for a Christmas present for Stuart. (What do you think?). 

 

 

 

Pam and I went to Banham Zoo recently and had a great time feeding the Giraffes, as you can see from the photos, we really did get close up and personal. Finally I just had to include in this section of photographs this one of Pam with a Zulu warrior which was taken when we attended a 'New Wine' conference earlier this year. It's such an honour to be able to meet and talk to one of these remarkable men who live such different lives to ourselves.

 

As for the café, it's doing quite well, despite the economic situation. We continue to attract some lovely new customers as well as retaining our regulars. So overall we are pleased with how it's going and do not intend to change the format... Good service with a smile and simple, honest, home made, food.

 

 

We had some fun in the Café yesterday with Halloween decorating not only the café but also the staff. Hope you like the pictures.
